Ma’agal: The Nehirim Women’s Circle β 2013
Ma’agal: The Nehirim Women’s Circle is a support group for Jewish LBTQ women facing questions of sexuality, gender, and religion. Each meeting is facilitated by Chani Getter, and includes sharing and discussion. Confidentiality, support, and compassionate listening are central values.
Ma’agal has been running for four years, and our meetings have been a full and heartfelt success.
Where?: The JCC in Manhattan, 334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street
All programs meet in the Older Adults Center on L1.
When?: Ma’agal meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. When a holiday conflicts, the Circle meets the following Tuesday. 2013 dates are as follows:

Chani Getter, Nehirim’s Director of Women’s Programming, is a Motivational Speaker, Certified Holistic Life Coach, and Ritual Creator. She leads informational and support groups in parenting, single-motherhood, domestic violence, cross cultural integration, issues of sexuality, and identity. She coaches individuals and offers workshops in the areas of life-balance, self-acceptance, transition, spirituality, and living your dreams. In addition to creating spiriutal and creative ceremonies, Chani follows an eclectic spiritual path that allows her to connect to the source of life within.
