Welcome to Nehirim!

Nehirim is a nonprofit organization which builds community for GLBT Jews, partners, at allies. Our retreats and other programs transform lives, and inspire GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender) Jews to be agents for change in their home communities.

Our retreats are a lot of fun — check out our new video to get a taste. Imagine a community diverse in age, religious practice, and sexual & gender identity coming together to learn, hang out, daven, meditate, organize, eat & drink, dance, and build connections that last a lifetime.  This is Nehirim!

This past October, the Queer Shabbaton NY brought together over 120 participants from around the country.   This December, we had 125 people join us for a Community Shabbat Dinner at CBST in New York, and 100+ more at our queer Hanukkah party in San Francisco, GIMMEL.  And just this past month, over 80 people braved the worst blizzard in DC history to join us for the Queer Shabbaton DC.
